In 1982, he graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting of the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts with a B.A. <\/span>Now lives and works in Chengdu.<\/span>In 1984, he co-founded the “Northern Art Group with Wang Guangyi”, Ren Jian, Liu Yan and other Harbin artists, proposed the concept of <\/span>“rational painting”; the “Absolute Principle” painting created in 1984 became a representative work of rational painting in the ’85 Art Movement’.<\/span><\/p>\n He has been invited to hold solo exhibitions and group exhibitions in Germany, the United States, Australia, Russia, South Korea and other countries, as well as in China and Hong Kong.
